Quality Engineering and Surveying, LLC (QES) was established in 2009 to provide a range of services for the PRIVATE and PUBLIC sectors. Our knowledge and experience helped establish strong initial relationships with clients but our foundation; Customer satisfaction throughout the entire project leads to future repeat business with all of our clients, is the reason for the firm’s success. Whether it be our firm alone, or as a collaborative effort with subcontractors, QES has helped our clients discover what they need to make their projects successful and build a productive future.

The 2nd filing of Keystone of Galvez becomes QES's first residential project
November 2009
QES Becomes a licensed survey firm
June 2010
"Quality Engineering Services" officially becomes "Quality Engineering and Surveying"
June 2010
West Carroll Parish Courthouse becomes Quality's first municipal project
August 2011
Jamie Seal joins Quality as a partner, creating the Grants Department
May 2012
Quality becomes a licensed Landscape Architecture firm and adds to its list of services offered

Quality moves across the street in Port Vincent following the 2016 flood and growth of the company

Our Team
Deric J. Murphy, PE, LSI
President & Firm Principal
Mr. Murphy serves as the President of Quality Engineering & Surveying, LLC where he manages the civil engineering projects and daily operations for QES. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1996 he obtained his Louisiana Professional Engineering License in 2001 and his Mississippi Professional Engineering License in 2016. Mr. Murphy has more than eighteen (18) years of experience as a Design and Consulting Engineer. His experience includes design, supervision, and general coordination of sub-consultants for various civil and municipal projects as well as the preparation of detailed construction plans, reports, technical specifications, contract documents, bid packages, cost estimates, hydraulic calculations, and field studies. The types of projects he has been associated with include commercial and retail facilities, new sewer systems, highways, drainage and storm water improvements, water supply systems, pump station design, residential subdivisions, and construction phasing plans.
